Tip’s Story – Life As Lived By Sidney “Tip” Melby as Told to John Ashford ~ 2003

The collection of stories that follow in this section of the blog are those that are a result of three days of interviews by John Ashford, a writer, with Sidney “Tip” Melby.  Tip was 87+ years old at the time and the stories are intended to preserve his memories for his children and cousins who were descendants of Elizabeth (Bess) Cranston and Christopher (Doc) Cranston.

The stories are scans of the booklet prepared by John Ashford for the exclusive use of Tip and his children.  It is with their permission that these are shared with other cousins on this blog.  They may be found on the “Tip’s Story” link on the main menu of this blog.
