This letter is from Christopher Cranston to Josephine Cranston. Christopher had three children, Charles Edward, Josephine and Mary.
The date of this letter, 1843, leads me to believe that this Josephine was not his daughter but most likely his sister because Christopher married his first wife, Lora Park, in 1832 which would make his daughter, Josephine, eleven years old at most. But I do not know for certain. (Help someone?) – who were Christopher’s siblings? Sons and daughters of John Cranston.
In this letter he implores Josephine to come visit from where she is (Cincinnati). Sounds like he’s a little frustrated with her. ~ CCJ
